Absolutely blown away by this film for reasons that I just can’t put my finger on. I feel at once very displaced and yet inspired in so many ways.
Perhaps a repeat viewing will reveal something I have missed and present me with a truth that I have yet to truly find. I think it has something to do with finding a niche in life that feels comfortable to settle in to.
Sincere thanks for sharing: it is most timely in my life. Thank you.

I have loved Carrington’s work (both art and writing) for quite some time now but I have never seen the short film you’ve posted here, so thank you! There’s an amazing book that features her and other fantastic artists that I highly recommend: “In Wonderland: The Surrealist Adventures of Women Artists in Mexico and the United States.” It was published to coincide with the first international exhibition of art created by female surrealists in Mexico and the United States, organized in 2012 by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City.

Wow thanks for that recommendation.
I’ve been a fan as well along with Remedios Varo and Frida Kahlo.
Hopefully they are both featured in this book along with Carrington’s work.
I will look for it!
